Just For You....

...and you know who you are. :)

I have tried to take a picture of this layout before and put it out on the blog here, but had not had any success. Last night a nice lady I know was looking at this in the store and said "look, you put buttons on the butterfly. That should be on your blog" So..here it is.

This is a new line of wedding paper that I also used on a little book (shown here). Since I can't put any of the new bride out here, I put a pic of the last wedding on it. (if you want to see a pic of the bride to be go here).

I had used the Cuttlebug, Maya Mist and some UTEE embossing on the swirls, I wanted something different on the butterfly. I had gathered these small vintage buttons into a bag along with some other items I thought might look good on a wedding layout and put them onto the chipboard butterfly. I then covered the whole thing with glossy accents and let it dry.

When I picked the little buttons up, I thought maybe I would make a line of them somewhere on a layout. They reminded me of a long line of buttons down the back of a wedding dress. But they just seemed to look better this way. The other sort of unusual or somewhat unique embellishment is on the right side of the photograph. I used these really cool metal joint connectors that I found in a hardware store. They are a nice metal and wavy and I thought added a little masculinity to an otherwise very feminine layout.

It is rainy and cold here tonight, but we have promise of warmer days soon AND we really do need the rain. I just prefer it warmer.
